Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How will I know it’s the right time?
There’s no perfect moment, but declining quality of life, chronic pain, and advice from your veterinarian are key indicators. Trust your instincts — you know your pet best.
Can I stay with my pet during euthanasia?
Yes. Whether at a clinic or at home or at Cherished Pets Funeral Home and Crematory, families are typically encouraged to remain with their pet if they feel comfortable doing so.
Does Cherished Pets Funeral Home and Crematory offer euthanasia?
While we do not perform euthanasia ourselves, however, we do work closely with approved caring traveling veterinarians who will do this service in one of our quiet and peaceful rooms such as our Lilac Room. We help you plan and coordinate the process, and handle aftercare with respect and dignity as per the family’s wishes. Your pet stays in our direct care.
How quickly can cremation take place?
Most families receive their pet’s cremains within 3–5 business days. Our on-site crematory ensures timely, private service. Additionally, you are guaranteed to receive your own pet’s cremains from Cherished Pets Funeral Home and Crematory with our ONE pet per chamber policy and procedures.
