At Cherished Pets Funeral Home and Crematory, we adhere to strict operating procedures to ensure dignified and respectful care of your cherished family pet.

At Cherished Pets Funeral Home and Crematory, we specialize in Burial Services. We have available to the SW MO community a state-of-the-art small pet funeral home facility to remember and memorialize our cherished pets.

The pet family will be notified through the state-of-the-art, Angelpaw, tracking system, with real time updates of each stage from bringing your pet into our care, special services, burial preparation, and when laid to rest in a pet cemetery or returned to family. With this tracking program, pet families can rest assured and are guaranteed that their cherished pet will receive the utmost and dignified care.

Our Burial Services Include:

• Cherished Pets Funeral Home and Crematory Facility – The ONLY pet aftercare facility in the Springfield and SW MO area that is open to the public during regular business hours or after hours by appointment. Pet families may meet with a pet funeral professional in person. Facility has a welcoming foyer, private visitation rooms, witness cremation rooms, small chapel, prayer garden for meditation and services, arrangement meeting rooms, and merchandise room to choose that special urn or other merchandise.
• Experienced Professional Certified/Licensed Funeral Directors and Specialists – As pet owners ourselves, everyone at Cherished Pets Funeral Home and Crematory understands the need to work with a professional in pet aftercare to give the upmost care and services to your cherished pet and family.
• Bringing Your Cherished Pet into Our Care from a veterinarian clinic, family home, or by being escorted to our Cherished Pets Funeral Home and Crematory by family or a specialized traveling veterinarian service. Transportation charges are separate. A pet brought directly to Cherished Pets will not incur transportation costs.
• Visitation Room – If you bring your cherished pet to our facility, we will assist with bringing your pet into our facility. You may spend time in one of our visitation room for informal, private time with your cherished pet, or a formal visitation time with gathering of friends and family.
• AngelPaw Tracking System – Each pet will be assigned a QR Code so that pet families will be notified in real time by the AngelPaw personalized tracking system.
• Specialized Services and Keepsakes – Specialized Services and Keepsakes – As part of our specialized professional services, when every cherished pet is brought into our care, their paw, hoof, fin, nose, as applicable, will be electronically photographed with a link forwarded to pet families for further purchasing of keepsakes from Thumbies ™, our professional funeral vendor.
• Casket – Families may choose the casket for their cherished pet to be laid to rest.
• Climate Controlled Walk-in Cooler – If your cherished pet needs to be held until burial may take place, we ONLY utilize a climate-controlled walk in cooler, NOT a FREEZER as used in most all pet aftercare facilities in the area.
• Personalized Certificate of Burial
• Opportunities to Remember Your Cherished Pet – With a Celebration Video and Memorial Page on our website, and personalized special services including paw prints and fur clippings, cremation jewelry.
• Opportunities to Memorialize Your Cherished Pet – Through personalized Celebration of Life funeral services in our chapel or prayer garden.
• Bereavement Program – Cherished Pets Funeral Home and Crematory has the only comprehensive aftercare bereavement program in the SW MO area to help support families on their healthy grief journey.
